Giftreat Inc. ("Giftreat," "we," "us") operates giftreat.app and the Giftreat private beta. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Giftreat is in private beta, so this policy covers the website and waitlist today and will be updated before the app opens to users.

Information we collect

Waitlist requests. When you ask for a private beta invite, we collect the email address you enter.
Retailer applications. When a business applies to partner with us, we collect the business name, contact name, work email, website, product category, program interest, and any note you add.
Basic technical data. Our website hosts and the tools that run it may automatically record standard information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of visits. We use this to keep the site secure and working.
Cookies. Our website host may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function and to measure basic traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

We do not ask for payment card details, bank account numbers, or government ID numbers on this website.

How we use information

To contact you about your beta invite, answer your request, and tell you about Giftreat.
To review and respond to retailer applications and discuss partnerships.
To operate, secure, and improve the website.
To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Who processes information for us

We use service providers to run the site and handle form submissions, including Wix (website hosting) and Netlify (hosting and form handling). They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of Giftreat, our users, or others, and in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of the business.

How long we keep information

We keep waitlist and application information for as long as needed to run the beta and review partnerships, then delete it or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from any message we send. Email founder@giftreat.app and we will respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we will honor them as required.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no online service is completely secure.

Children

Giftreat is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Giftreat grows, including when the app launches. We will change the effective date above and, where required, tell you about material changes.
